This 1977 debut album of Elvis Costello is a very diverse album. It starts of pretty rockin' and dwells into some nice ballads with some original progressions and vocal harmonies. The overall timbre of the record is pure analog warmth. Sounds classic by itself but for the picky, it could be a fun project for those mastering engineers to tweak out some low's and high's in this mix. The album cover purely defines Costello's attitude and edge to his music. His vibrant vocal style and instrumental parts are still fresh to this day. This is a great album for the newcomer to Costello.
